I fell in-love with these words . . .
♥
♥
“Kind words are the music of the world.
They have a power which seems to be
beyond natural causes, as if they were
some angel’s song which had lost its way
and come to earth.”
~ Frederick William Faber
Has anyone ever spoken kind words to you that had such an impact that they changed your life, self image, or the way you think about a certain subject? ♥
My little sister once told me I was her hero at a time I felt less than deserving. It meant the world to me.

Aw. That’s so sweet. We do take to heart what our siblings tell us. That was adorable. 🙂

I like this! Strange how easy it is to say harsh things to people and how difficult it is to give someone a compliment.
As for me, when I was a kid; I was happy to get compliments. Compliments about my surfing or about my talents. Now I am happy when people express appreciation for my actions.
Have a great weekend!

Hi! Yes, why is it so much easier for people to criticize rather than compliment? I’m sure it takes the same amount of effort. Being appreciative of one another is showing love. Have a great week! 😀

Not the best start to my week thanks to I-4 and one poorly placed box in the highway but hurdles are there to be jumped over.
As for your comment, people tend to see the negative in our world today. 50 years ago, you would never have the opportunity to connect with very many people outside your bubble. So I am thankful for connecting with people such as yourself. 2015 is brighter already and that I can appreciate!

Just monetary which is far better than having physical issues. So I can be thankful for that.
Gives me more time for house work I guess and reading.

Beautiful. I’m not trying to quote Tennessee Williams but at times it’s the kindness of strangers, the small gestures complete strangers show us for no reason that can brighten our day…

Hello Olga! You’re absolutely right. Sometimes strangers are kinder than some people in your family. I have been touched many times by the kindness of strangers. 😀 ❤

The many kindnesses on the net from you and others have given me a little self confidence back which has made a huge difference to my life. The fact tht people choose to be kind and take the time for soft words gives me hope for the future of the world even now.

Kind words can go a long way and we don’t use them often enough these days. There are still nice people out there despite all the bad things going on today. I run across it quite a bit in the blogging world. It means a lot to get a nice comment on a post.
In my personal life, my friends are always telling me to make this or that and sell them because I’m good at it. Oh my, if things were really that simple. I’ve always dabbled in the arts, not always writing related. Most people have no idea how long things take to develop. It’s cost prohibitive to think about starting a business to sell your hobbies. No one ever gets it.
These are the same people who wonder why it takes me months or years to write novel.

Hi Sunni, I get it. Some of my friends are family are just as clueless. Ha, ha! It’s great for people to let you know you have talent, though. And you’re right, there is a lack of empathy in the world today. 😀

So I have a… person… in my life who throws BLOWS at me constantly, so I throw them right back. But at this point, I feel as if these blows are actually loving… It’s very weird, but if he were to actually say nice things to me, I would know something was up. LOL!
