Welcome to Haiku Friday! Today’s Haiku is inspired by RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge The prompt words are Force & Free. I must admit I struggled a bit with these prompt words but this is what I came up with. I hope you enjoy.

Life Finds A Way

From the dry, cracked earth

Delicate life forces through

Free as a daisy

    Lovely haiku and powerful thought expressed. Yes, a survivor plant. I’m not sure which flower is my favourite. I think I’ve gone through a few in life.

    Oh, Vashti, my late Nana LOVED daisies! They make me think of her, a lovely lady… although she was very opionated! LOL Thanks for making me think of her today! I needed that! 🙂

    You did a great job with your haiku from the prompt words, Vasti. 🙂

    My favourite flower is the daffodil, but I’m hearing on the news this morning that some people have been mistaking them for onions in supermarkets!!. Apparently daffodils are poisonous if eaten, but luckily for me I’ve never tried eating one.

      Thank you Hugh! 😀 Oh yes––the beautiful and poisonous daffodil. I feel a short story coming . . . ha,ha! The bulb is the most toxic part and it looks like an onion. Yikes! 😮

        If I get through to the next round of the NYC Midnight Short Story Challenge, lets hope I’m given a daffodil or a flower shop as something I have to include in my story 🙂 Now you got me thinking 🙂

    The Haiku is really beautiful. You have a talent for these. Quite a life lesson in yours.

    I love roses. mostly because of that Shakespeare line in Romeo & Juliet. “A rose by any other name”

      Hi Serins! Thank you very much. 🙂 Roses are gorgeous and there are so many varieties and colors. I love that passage from Romeo & Juliet too! “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”. So true, the names of things do not affect what they really are. 😀

    My love forces me
    To do those things I can’t stand
    I’m set free by love

    I don’t have a favorite flower. I find them all pretty. This haiku thing is fun even though I suck at it.
