    What a great quote! I’m liking it, I find that as well & I love it. I get excited when I come up with an idea and I run with it.

    YES! I love this quote Vashti. I’m definitely jotting this one down. It’s so true too. I once read a story about a painter that painted a beautiful piece of art in 10 minutes. When he was asked how long it took him, he responded ’20 years’. A talent lays lament unless you take it and invest in it.

    I do like this quote, Vashti, and it is so very true. It gets so big that it takes over your life, but is that a problem? No!

      I completely agree, It does take over your life. I find myself drifting into my imagination sometimes when I’m out with friends. It can be annoying but not a problem. 😉

        Mine can also run riot sometimes, which I rather like as well. Having a dog is great because, when out walking Toby, it allows my imagination to really get to work.

        I do the same! While I’m out walking Scribbles and Cocoa my mind is filling plot holes and killing darlings . . . ha, ha!

    I agree with the quote and yes, I do have a big imagination, sometimes too big according to hubby. I think not staying focused is the biggest reason for writer’s block.

    My imagination gets carried away sometimes, in fact I need to reel it in, or my plot goes crazy! Plotting is my weak area, I just go with the flow and see where it takes me, needless to say, editing is a very close friend of mine!

    I like this Vashti. As far as writer’s block, the biggest problem I seem to have is lack of time. The imagination is usually in overdrive. Too many ideas sometimes.

      Hello Allan! It’s nice to hear from you. I’m glad you liked the quote. Yes, time seems to be an issue for many writers including me. I’m pretty sure Stephen King said once that there was no such thing as ‘Writer’s Block’. I think he’s right. There’s lack of time, laziness, and distractions but your mind isn’t ‘blocked’. Like you said, you have little time but your imagination is usually in overdrive. 😀

    What a splendid quote Vashti. So true, definitely agree, though I am very new to writing. So far no writer’s block, but believe others and it must exist on occasion, hope it and I never make acquaintance 😉
    My personal quote is ‘creativity is only limited by imagination’. I guess it kind of says the same thing, but not with such the awesome visual of PJF’s words 🙂

      Thank you. 🙂 I believe in distractions, stress, laziness, and procrastination which some people may interpret as ‘Writer’s Block’. I love your personal quote. It does have a similar meaning but I believe it’s more direct. 😀

        I agree with your definition of writer’s block and think it would help one to overcome it more easily if they viewed it that way. Instead of a condition they are suffering from, rather a choice they are making regarding focusing their attention. You could probably write a post on it. Though some might not like it–looking in the mirror and all, not always the reflection we want to see of ourselves.

        It is a good subject for a post. Thanks for the idea. I’ve written many posts knowing some people would not like it. As long as it’s what I believe to be true it doesn’t matter. You can’t please everyone. Besides, I have Stephen King to back me up on this. He, he. 😉
