Hello everyone! First, I’d like to apologize to everyone for being MIA these last two weeks. It was not intentional. My lap top gave out on me and I was unable to get online to post, link up or anything else. It was a nightmare, believe me. Well, the problem has been resolved and I’m happy to be back.

Thank you Kevin! I just caught up last night (HBO On Demand), since the season finale is on Sunday. I still haven’t gotten over the episode. I still haven’t gotten over the ‘Red Wedding‘ episode! Ha, ha! I love author George R.R. Martin––he breaks all the rules! 😀

Hi Vashti, great haiku, and great photos, this place is lovely, a field of flowers, I can imagine all the fragrance there.

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you very much. This is in the gardens of the Fuji Shiba-Zakura Festival in Tokyo, Japan. They have this festival of pink blooms and pink moss every year in spring (April-May). I would love to visit someday, and yes, the fragrance in the air must be wonderful. 🙂 xx

Hi Katie! Thank you! I hope you’re feeling well and everything is okay with the little bun. I used to be very intimidated by haiku (poetry in general) but since trying it, I just love it. They’re a lot of fun to write. You should give writing haiku a try. Someone with your talent and creativity would write wonderful poetry. 😀 xx

Welcome back. This reminds me that I have to get out there and deadhead my roses.

Thank you. Ha, ha! Get to it. 😉 Roses are so beautiful and fragrant but I’ve heard they’re very hard to grow and maintain. Is this true?

Depends upon the type. I won’t allow any prima donnas in my garden. They really appreciate deadheading though.

I see. Ha, ha. If I decide to grow roses I’ll be sure to leave the prima donnas out. 😉

Glad you’re back. Enjoyed your haiku very much. I’ve been having some problems too in my case with internet connection but back to normal now. It’s amazing how much we rely on having access to our blogs, and social media isn’t it?

Thank you so much! It sure is. I was really stressed over the situation. I’m sorry you had a similar problem. I’m glad it’s over for the both of us. 😀 xx

Thanks Vashti, yes It’s pretty stressful having no internet connection, and even more so if your teenage daughter goes over on her phone bill due to lack of Wi-Fi! UGH!!!

I love the haiku – it speaks of the power of nature. It also speaks to me of opportunity – where one disappears, more will bloom if you just open your eyes 😀

I love this haiku, Vashti. The fresh metaphors are indeed amazing. I sense that you used symbolism, like flowers. 🙂

No problem, Vashti.

Gorgeous pics and haiku. And nice to have you back! I don’t know how far I would go, but I guess there are always things one couldn’t live with. It would depend on what’s at stake, I suspect. Have a great weekend.

Thank you very much, Olga! That’s a very good point, what’s at stake would definitely influence how far we would go. You’re always so eloquent. You have a great weekend too. 😀

Vashti,
I’ve never watched Game of Thrones. Now I’m curious.
As mentioned above, what’s at stake would influence how far someone would go, except for maybe a sociopath.
Glad your back. Computer problems are h***.

Hi Sunni! Game of Thrones is an incredibly entertaining show. I haven’t been into a series, like I am now, in years. Check out the links. You’re right, sociopaths have no boundaries. Thank you so much, glad to be back. 🙂 xx

Such a nice haiku! so very meaningful.. 🙂 and coming to GoT, Ep. 8 and 9 has attracted a lot of discussion. That’s too much of a sacrifice!

Hi Prakash! Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed the haiku.
I agree, what happened in episode 9 was too much of a sacrifice. I’m still shocked about it. Let me know what you think of the season finale. 😉

I saw the Game of Thrones episode you mentioned. NO SPOILER. It was horrendous what happened.
As for your Haiku, it is touching and true. The petals fall away but at the center are seeds that the winds blows and more plants are born out of the cooperation of nature. Beautiful sentiment.

I’m still shocked and appalled by episode 9, but wait until you see the finale––wow!
Thank you so much! I’m glad you liked the haiku. One of the things I love most about poetry is how there can be so many interpretations. 🙂

As many interpretations as eyes that read it, absorb it, feel it and appreciate it.
I am not the Game of Thrones person in our house but with peripheral vision I can’t help but see what transpires. So, Ep 9 is going to WoW me. Will have to check it out for sure. Thanks. 🙂

My partner has already watched Ep 10. Was disappointed until she said she would watch it again with me. Not something I want to do alone.
I have to say I have one favorite character played by Peter Dinklage. Love him in everything he does. Will have to commune about him sometime. 🙂

I have loved Peter Dinklage from the start, he is also one of my favorite characters. But I’m becoming more and more afraid of getting attached to any of these characters, since so many characters I loved have died. 😦

That is what I’ve come to understand. The first Ep I watched a character was killed. I think he should have been shown mercy. It put me off Game of Thrones and I stopped watching without really getting started. Gratuitous violence is extremely disturbing to me, whether human violence or animal violence. So, I do understand your not wanting to get too attached. 😦
My partner watched Ep 10 but we haven’t had a chance for her to watch it with me. Your excitement about it makes me want to see it, so I will & then let you know what my reaction is.
If you love Peter Dinklage you should check out the UK version of ‘Death at a Funeral.’ It is a dark comedy with moments that create hysterical laughter in the viewer. Peter’s scenes are some of the craziest. 🙂

Your absence didn’t go unnoticed. Good to hear it was just electronic snafus! I can relate to your Haiku, deadheading is not my favorite thing to do, but so worth it for showier flowers for longer.
