RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge

Hi everyone! Happy Haiku Friday! 😀 Today’s prompt words are provided by Ron and they are Bridge & Move. Visit Ron’s blog, RonovanWrites and participate in his weekly haiku challenges. There’s also so much more to his blog, so you should really visit and enjoy.

When I read the prompt words I automatically thought of Star Trek! So this is what I came up with. For all the “Trekkies” out there––I hope I got it right.

Thanks Colleen! I love Star Trek too, the original and all the ones that came after. Loved the last two movies. The characters are spot-on!

Isn’t it amazing how much of what Gene Roddenberry envisioned has come true? Very cool!

    Can I play too—

    Star Trek bridge had scenes
    mounting trouble with tribbles
    triggered plots last move

That’s great! It’s almost a tongue twister. Ha, ha! Love the play on words. Play is always welcome here. 😀

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you! Have you seen J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie? The cast was phenomenal! They played the original Star Trek characters so well. I was amazed. You should check it out if you haven’t already. Chris Pine (Captain Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock), Karl Urban (Dr. McCoy/Bones), Zoe Saldana (Uhura) . . . all fantastic! 😉

Delightful and an interesting twist to using Move & Bridge. Now who would have thought of Bridge on the Star Ship Enterprise. Live Long and Prosper. Spock would love this one. We have have Trekkies in our household. Miss the spin-offs. Not so much around as they use to be.

Well, done on your Haiku. You always manage to surprise me with your constant originality. You go where no other Haiku has gone before. That is meant as a positive statement and of course a play on words. I am a smart-ass at times.

    Beam me up Scottie. 😀

Hope you are having a Great Weekend. jk

Ha, ha! ‘You go where no Haiku has gone before.’ I LOVE that! Thank you so much! If you haven’t seen J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek movie, I recommend you see it. The cast is great and it’s like watching the original Star Trek cast––only younger. Great movie! I’m having a wonderful weekend––especially after reading your comment. 😉 I hope you are too. ❤

Yes, lots of catching up on sleep, writing, and watching the US Open. I am an avid tennis fan. Roger Federer is my champion.

So pleased you liked my Haiku reference. Couldn’t resist. Will mention it to Shawn. She is the sworn Trekkie and we are fans of J.J. Abrams.

One more day of weekend fun on Monday. It is late 3am. Better get to sleep, if I want to wake up while the sun is still up. Keep having fun. 😉
