This week’s prompt words are Pine and Grief. The words were provided by Ron of RonovanWrites. Ronovan is a writer and poet and he also does author interviews and much more. You can read some of his poetry and fiction pieces on his blog. He also hosts RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge every Monday. Anyone can participate and he even teaches you what haiku poetry is and how to write it if you don’t already know.

    Poor Echo, but I love the Haiku telling her sad story; what a gorgeous painting as well. 🙂

    OMG that is one of my favorite Waterhouse paintings. She couldn’t get his love b/c of course Narcissus was in love with his own reflection. So in love with himself. Don’t you just hate that. What brilliant stanzas of Haiku. I love the depth you went with these. Perfect image of Echo [Ekho] in sculpted form. A sad story Narcissus never realized he was being led astray after rejecting Echo. Seeing his reflection and falling in love. His end was self inflicted. I realize you know this by the great job you did researching this story. Your Haiku “reflects” your knowledge of the sadness of this story. Beautiful use of the words ‘Pine’ and “Grief.’ If any story deserves grief to be felt, this one does. Brilliantly done. jk

        Their ending is among mythologies sadder ones. The Gods really wreaked havoc on the lives they touched. Tricksters the whole lot of them. You are welcome. TY for the uplifting words. 😀 xox
