    Happy Friday Vashti. I especially like your second Haiku. That’s great @alien design?
    Just have to let you know that my Aspie son is looking at the photo here, and he just said, “Hey wow, look at that. That’s just great.” He’s so funny.

    A wonderful poetic historic flashback. Have you ever heard of Eric Von Daniken? he did world lecture tours in the 1970’s and wrote books presenting theories of constant alien influence throughout earth’s history. He also proposed aliens influenced the building of the pyramids and lots of other stuff.

    Love your haiku, Vashti! 🙂 I especially love the imagery of the first! Such a scene in my mind. The way you describe the human’s as cranes is very creative 🙂

    Perhaps an ancient disclaimer taped to the side of a pyramid?

      That’s the best thing about the ‘aliens built the pyramids’ theory; hundred of thousands of slaves didn’t have to die in the process.

      Hi Judy! Thank you! When I first saw the words I thought, ‘Oh, oh!’ but once the idea of ancient Egypt and the pyramids came to mind it became much easier to write the haiku. I’m glad you liked them. 😀 xx

    So good Vashti! I was completely stumped, didn’t participate this week. I love where you went with it. The first one is my fave– sky’s the limit, human cranes– so good!

        I was totally lost last week. I always try to tie it into my island/Irish and homefarm theme so it’s relevant to my lifestyle. Spin was the photo word and the only things I could think of were desperate and just not good so I surrendered and skipped it. Perhaps I limit myself with the photo and blog theme, but I guess it’s part of the personal challenge for me. This week, boom!, his words fit into a post I had just written but hadn’t actually posted yet.

        Then I read ones like yours, so clever and perfectly flowing, which I think is pretty much what I’ve come to expect here. Always a delight to read and see the images you pair and conversation or thoughts you provoke. I mean this sincerely Vashti, it’s a pleasure visiting your blog. 🙂

        Aw. That’s such a pleasure to hear. Thank you so much for the kind words. I enjoy visiting your blog because you have a lifestyle that I’ve always dreamt about even as a very young girl. I love nature, animals, photography, island living . . . so it is a delight visiting your blog.
        I can see why the prompt words can become a real challenge because you want to combine them with your photography challenge and blog theme. It’s hard enough coming up with a haiku each week with just the prompt words I can’t imagine adding all these other requirements. That’s very difficult to do. But you know what? When you do accomplish it, it is amazing. 😀 ❤

    Slave labor and alien visitors from outer space. Why not both. They helped each other out. We don’t really know. Like someone is going to tell the Pharaoh we are from space. And then came Moses. What would be up with that.
