If a panther leaves its footprints in the snow, would a hunter know upon finding them whether the animal was black or white?

Black & White

Dark roar, white ripples
Man speaks in black and white
Nature is color blind

When a crocodile swims in a river the ripples created are the same whether the reptile is black or white.

Have a great weekend!

Very nice! Although I would say Nature is far from colour-blind when it comes to mating rituals and camouflage.
fifty shades of grey
though printed in black and white
left many cheeks flushed
🙂 Have a great weekend.

Chills.. and reminds me of the wee poem my mother used to recite when I was a child… “If called by a panther, don’t an-ther.” Thank you for bringing that memory back to me.

Thank you Patricia! I love black panthers. They seem so elegant and mysterious. That white crocodile is like a freak of nature but so alluring at the same time. 🙂

Your thought is bound to be original. We can identify the animal, but not the color. A+

Your haiku is so relevant, Nature may be color blind but unfortunate for the world too many people are not. I am very moved by this issue. It is so disturbing. Too much hate and killing for no reason. Loved your white crocodile. In his or her world he is in more danger being white. In the world of people white is finally taking its rightful place in the mix rather than being so important. I am white but not a supporter of what white people have done throughout history. The feelings of supremacy and imperialism. It was all rotten and such boorish behavior in the treatment of those not of their breeding or color. Keep up the great writing and insightful haiku. xox ps. Lateness due to setting up a present of a new x360 laptop for Chanukah. i have been working on it for 4 days now and I think I have finally closed in on finishing. Wanted to get this comment to you sooner but got obsessed with the project. What could go wrong did but not with the computer just my running into transfer and set-up problems. I just have a few more programs to download and transfer once new optical drive arrives. Happy Holidays. Mine have only just begun tonight with the lighting of candles and the eating a delicious feast. I eat little but all tasted great. My partner did the cooking. I am trying to video tape each night of the lighting & burning of the candles. 🙂

Sometimes when people act as if they are superior it is because they actually feel insecure, fearful, and in some cases inferior. That’s why it’s so important for people to see past superficial acting out and look deeper. People of all races have committed atrocious acts throughout history not just white people. Since I was a kid I’ve gotten in trouble for speaking my mind, so I don’t think I will be stopping anytime soon. 😉
Thank you for always being so kind and generous with your compliments. Please don’t worry about being late to comment, whenever you get to it is fine by me. Thank you.
Happy Chanukah! I’m happy the holidays have started so great for you. Are you planning on posting any of those videos?

I am still quite the novice with my new vidcam. Someday if I get better. Also, don’t have my movie maker program with new laptop to do editing. Will work it our.
I love to read your writing but as I stated in an earlier remark I made, I get into these manic moods and get off the track with time. I have high expectations of what I should be able to do way beyond the limit. Way too much I want to accomplish.
I enjoy our interactions. We both give the other great support. I am honest when I tell someone what I think and feel. So I do tell you the truth. Nothing made up.
As for people who ACT different than they are, especially superior, it infuriates me. I have a low threshold for rudeness and intolerance toward other people and when it comes to people who are different. What is different after all. We all have our individual differences. I get on the white race, realizing we are not the only ones to be awful human beings. But what is happening in the US now with a certain candidate is insufferable. I have even a problem saying his name. He is so over the top. All superior, a prime example. It isn’t superior at all. But I don’t want to go there.
It’s way past my sleep time. I have been staying up late many nights in a row now and getting up after not too much sleep. Not good for the Bipolar. Regular sleep is a necessity. Rituals. Writing is my one ritual I do every day. I can’t stop myself and I don’t want to. I love writing and painting. And my new favorite thing to do is Blackout Poetry. I am addicted. It is like doing a word puzzle. I love puzzles. Jigsaw and Word puzzles. That is how I look at the Haiku and 5 word challenges. Putting words in their rightful places giving them the best possible back story. You do it so well. So you know what I mean.
Night now. xox Have A Great Day and Enjoy Your Holidays. 😀

I enjoy our interactions as well and I too am honest with you. I think I know which candidate you are referring to and I can’t stand him either. His views are so out there he scares me. Sleep is extremely important for everyone. When I go a few days without proper sleep my body aches all over. It’s bad. I hope you can start getting some rest soon. You’re great at these challenges too, so unique and creative. Have a wonderful night! 😀 ❤

Great Haiku Vashti. And very clever too, I might add. Also, I have never seen a white crocodile. Is it an albino?
Hope you had a great weekend.
🙂 ❤

Thank you Staci! No, it is not an albino. It has blue eyes! The rare coloration is due to a genetic mutation called Leucism.
