My theme and inspiration this week is the story of the rebel angels’ fall from Heaven. The prompt words this week are Vast and Clear provided by RonovanWrites.
♦
God’s Silvery Voice
Bid exile in vast numbers
Angels fall like rain
♦
Monstrous wingspan
blots out the sun at midday
Light turns to darkness
♦
The fall from Heaven
Broken wings fixed by their side
Vast darkness now clears
♦
***The 3rd Haiku was written by my husband, Juancarlo Vega who wanted to give haiku writing a try. I think he did a great job.

Oh, also…did you warn him haiku is addictive?

Ha, ha! You’re right, I do have to warn him that writing haiku is literary crack!

That’s a wonderful idea! They can start by getting the structure correctly 5 – 7 – 5. I think they’ll love it––a little poem. 😉

My daughter is very creative, I am sure it will take a 7 year old a little time, but she would try… My Son is always asking what I am doing, so I think he would love to give it a go!

An interesting trio Vashti , I also put in 3 but not as complex as yours and Juancarlo. You must get him blogging with haiku that was a natural.

I enjoyed your haiku too. I love haiku about nature and I find them to be the hardest to write. Loved the pictures too. 🙂

Wonderful imagery! That 3rd haiku didn’t seem as though it were written by someone other than the one who wrote the first two. Perhaps you are vibing into each others vortexes? In any case, masterfully done!! ❤

The trio of Haiku were powerful and I feel Juancarlo did precision writing his verse of the Haiku. He should keep submitting. A mountainous occasion casting out so many angels. A power struggle, me thinks. Do you have a lead angel in your story who was cast out. as in the mythology? I am fascinated with your developing myths. My partner is more informed then I am but she fills in what I don’t know or remember. Great triple hitter!

Thank you. JC is so happy that everyone loved his haiku. I’m sure he’ll continue to write them. Yes! An epic event. There is a lead angel and several other important characters exiled. My novel is divided into Book I – Heaven and Book II – Earth. I love Mythology and I’ve read and continue to read so much that I feel like a Mythology expert. Ha, ha. One of my main goals in writing this series is to be very unique. I’ve read so many stories about angels and I wanted to write one unlike anything I’ve ever read. Thanks again! ❤ xx
