Haiku Friday – Star & Child

5 Feb

Happy Haiku Friday everyone! Today’s prompt words were provided by RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge and they are Star and Child. These words made me think of one thing . . . my dog Scribbles. He’s my writing buddy, my protector (or so he thinks), and a  ‘superstar’ in his own right. He is a 1 year old Pomeranian. I love this little guy and he’s my inspiration for today’s haiku.

Ronovan hosts this challenge every Monday and you have until Sunday to create a post featuring your haiku poem. He is a writer and poet and also does author interviews and much more on his blog. Be sure to check it out. Anyone can participate in this challenge. Read Ron’s Haiku Prompt Challenge Guidelines for more information.

Beautiful haiku Vashti and what an amazing dog Scribbles is. I can sense the enjoyment of live shining out of those images and the love you have for the little pup in that haiku. The super driving dog image is unique I trust you had taught Scribbles how to drive carefully?

Ha, ha. He has ‘careful driver’ on his driver’s license. 😉 It’s amazing how much we love our furry babies. I know you love Charlie very much. Scribbles is definitely part of the family. When family and friends call they ask how he’s doing as well. Thank you Denis! 😀 xx

There’s a lot of cuteness going on here Vashti! My Memere had a Pomeranian named Tippy who was also much loved and deservedly spoiled. Great haiku in honour of Scribbles. Great pet name for a writer. ::D

They’re the same breed. Scribbles is a Pomeranian. Their personalities are very different though. Rascal was an amazing dog and Scribbles is different but just as awesome.😙💕
