Girl-Power!

Worthy, spirited and strong

Believe in your spark

If you want my love

You need only whisper it

For you are a gem

Two very powerful haiku Vashti. The message of the first haiku needs to stay up front and out there because women are certainly not treated equally in many aspects of life/work etc in Australia and it seems mostly everywhere. What a beautiful valentine from the second haiku.

Vashti, I came right down here to comment and became sidetracked by the awesome images in the ‘STORIES’ slideshow widget over in the sidebar. Wow! But I did enjoy both haiku, too 🙂

Hi Christine! Thank you for taking the time to look at the slideshow. No one seems to mention it, so I thought no one ever looked. I’m happy you enjoyed that and the haiku. Feel free to browse through my short stories. Maybe you’ll find something you’ll want to read. 😉 Thanks again! 😀 xx

Thank you! We women need to value each other. I believe that when we begin to respect and support each other men in general will do the same. 😉

I agree, we women and girls are gems, all whole assortment, each holding within our own certain power. If we support each other, we will continue to grow our power and be women to be reckoned with. No more holding us back. Herstory will meet history and find equal ground to express ourselves and be remembered throughout time.

Love your Haiku. A wonderful way to lift the spirits for all women. Marvelous. Women Power. That’s the way to go. 🙂

I’m happy the haiku brought you some joy. I agree, we need to be more supportive of each other. Sometimes women can be more cruel to each other than any man. That’s sad. And probably the reason we are still not treated equally. 😦 Thank you!

Well. I will always try to be supportive with you in as positive a way as possible. Women do need to realize we need to give each other power and not give it away. We do need to support each other and the ones we love no matter what.
