Happy Friday everyone! It is Haiku Friday and today’s prompt words are Life and Path. They were provided by Ronovan Hester of Ronovan Writes.

My Haiku this week . . .

The path to triumph

Is a tricky winding road

All souls should travel

Would You Risk Driving on these Deadly Roads?

I asked my husband, a cousin and a friend to read this haiku and to interpret what they thought it meant. It was interesting how different and fascinating their individual interpretations were. There are haiku that most people will interpret the same way then there are others that will have a thousand distinct meanings. Go ahead and read it any way you’d like.

    Great haiku… wouldn’t it be nice though if, just once, the path to a small triumph was simple and straightforward!

    Great pictures. I love roads like these, but have never driven on one.
    Hmm, how about:

    many-ended path
    capillaries of raw life
    a pleasure to walk

      I love roads like this too although some of these roads I think I’d rather walk than drive, so in this sense your haiku is perfect. 😉 Click on the 2nd picture for more of these crazy roads––you’ll be amazed.

    The road to triumph is long, twisted, and must be worked for. It’s never easy to reach the end and victory. That’s the way I see it. Good haiku.

    Have a great weekend yourself. I hope your dad is better. My mom was admitted to ICU last night with blood on her brain. All very unexpected. She’s on a ventilator. Needless to say, I was up all night texting with my sister. She’s in TX and probably about 1500 miles away. My sisters are keeping me posted. If things get worse, I’ll go down there a while. Family says right now she’s stable.

    A thought-provoking haiku, Vashti. In my younger and more daring days, I have traveled the risky, winding road, but now I prefer a smoother transition to peace. The image is wonderful! 🙂

    Great haiku Vashti. I take it to mean that rewards in life are there for those who embrace challenges as a chance for growth. Triumph is in the growth whatever the outcome. Play it safe and take the well trodden path, and you will not meet yourself in the journey. Love the second pic. I don’t think I’d drive that road!

    Hope you are bearing up ok & that your Dad is improving, I cannot see me driving on that tricky path but it is very fitting just like life and some of the trials and challenges you go through and how you deal with them can shape you as a person.       Thank you Teagan. I love “paths” too. I have taken many pictures of paths and alley ways. Yes, my father is doing better. He’s in a physical therapy facility and we’re hoping he’ll be able to walk when he’s done. It’ll mean a lot for him. Thank you for all the love. ❤ xx
