Haiku Friday – Twist & Shout

17 Mar

Hello and a warm welcome to my blog! It’s Haiku Friday!

Twist and Shout are this week’s prompt words chosen by Ronovan Hester of Ronovan Writes.

Ron hosts a challenge that anyone could participate in called Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge every Monday, and you have until Sunday to create a post featuring your haiku poem. He is an author and poet and also does author interviews and much more on his blog. Be sure to check it out. Read Ron’s Haiku Prompt Challenge Guidelines for more information.

Thorny yellow rose

Radiant as the sunrise

Shivers in the breeze

And summons with the wind’s help

Only the bravest of bees

Wiggle went the bee

As he danced on rose petals

With proud buzzing calls

His heart knew no fear, you see

He dreamt of making honey

Thank you Denis! I love bees and I’m concerned about the fact that they’re disappearing.

Thats happening across the world Vashti because of ongoing thoughtless growth and development. This year we had a crop of passionfruit for the first time in years because bees were back and pollinating. We give them drinks with eye droppers on hot days while they rest when we see them.

That’s amazing, Denis! Thanks so much for doing that. I remember when I was a child there were bees everywhere. Now, I rarely see them. It’s so sad. ❤
