What beautiful birds they are! I did not know they reached speeds of 200 mph while diving. Love your haiku! I’m sure the mice are shaking in their boots when the falcon comes around. 🙂

Hello Gayl! There’s something regal about these birds but they can be scary too like a lot of things in nature I guess. I’m happy you liked the haiku. Thank you! 🙂

I wrote this one in such a hurry I wasn’t sure what to think about it. Thank you so much! ❤

Whew! With those words it could have gotten risqué in a hurry. Love all kinds of predatory birds. We have peregrines that nest on a building in Boise.

Hello! I love all animals but predatory birds are high on my list of favorites. I’ve never seen a peregrine falcon in person. They must be an amazing site. 🙂

They are, and they aren’t all that big compared to some of the hawks and owls. Very streamlined though.

Love the haiku! We have a peregrine falcon nesting box in my home town. I’m sorry that the falcon cam needs to be repaired or replaced, this spring, because I enjoy watching for the chicks to hatch, grow up and leave the nest each year.
I also see them in the sky, circling to hunt. And then diving.

Wow! That’s incredible. I wish I could see that. I hope they get that camera fixed fast.

It must be scary to be a mouse when falcons are around as your haiku highlights so well…the falcon images you’ve shared are stunning.

Yes! I’ve seen in the discovery channel how falcons tear their prey apart. It’s hard to watch. 😮
