Hi, everyone! A warm welcome to my blog!
Cold and Storm are this week’s prompt words chosen by Colleen Chesebro ~ The Fairy Whisperer.
*The catch is that we can only use the synonyms to these words in our poems.
Colleen hosts a challenge that anyone could participate in called, Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge every Tuesday, and you have until Sunday to create a post featuring your Haiku, Tanka, Haibun, Etheree or Cinquain poem. She is an author and poet, and also does book reviews and so much more on her blog. Be sure to check it out.

A chilly simper
A kiss that tastes like snake oil
A lovers’ quarrel
A wintry tempest threatens
Stop––it’s warmer together

I love how you brought lovers quarrel into this and the suggestion to do more love instead of fighting! I have to agree with that. Have a fantastic weekend Vashti:)

Hi Denise! I hope you’ve had a great start to your week. All those petty arguments lovers have chip away at what could be a great love. 😉 Thank you! ❤

Another great poem! It shows that love takes work. A couple might have their moments but they will find a way to come back to each another if they focus on love. ❤ 🙂

Very well said, Yvette. No couple is perfect but if they work on resolving their issues with love it will work out. Thank you! ❤ xo

What’s the point to win the battle but lose the war? Great poem, Vashti.
We came home last night. Hope to adjust the time zone soon. We went to Nara. My granddaughter had a good time. She called the deer puppy, because she hasn’t learned the word deer yet.

Thank you for your recommendation. We had a very good visit. The transportation was very convenient! ❤ I still have a hard time going through the jet lag after 4 days. Last night woke up at 1:30 am, was up until 5 am, went back to sleep and woke up 2 hours ago – 2:30 pm. ❤ 😦

That’s terrible. I arrived home during the day and I wanted to go to sleep but I knew that would throw my whole system off, so I stayed up until it was my usual bed time and then fell asleep. It was hard but it helped me get back in rhythm quickly. 🙂

I did it that way also. It just took me longer to adjust. I’m okay now. Thank you, Vashti. 🙂

Sweet little poem. It really is always warmer and cozier together with the one or those who matter to you. Lovely tie in with Valentine’s Day which is not too far away. Happy weekend, and have a good week ahead 🙂
