Haiku Friday – Miss & Past

13 Mar

Hi everyone! Welcome to my blog. It’s Haiku Friday! Thanks for visiting. Once again my prompt words come from RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge If you enjoy haiku poetry you should definitely visit his blog. Many people participate in the weekly challenges and they share the link to their haiku on his page and Ronovan also features the haiku poems on the weekend. The prompt words today are Miss and Past. I thought of Easter for some reason and this is what I came up with.

Goddess of spring past

bunnies and eggs her symbols

Easter was then born

Missed in the Eddas

Mischievous St Bede

Conjured her being

Did she exist once?

Dancing while the flowers bloomed

The wiccans think so

Do you celebrate Easter? If so what do you do on Easter Sunday? What does Easter represent to you?
