Hello, everyone! Welcome!
I’m in such a great mood today. It is a gorgeous spring day outside and it’s National Puppy Day! Although my Pomeranian, ‘Scribbles’ isn’t technically a puppy, he certainly looks like one (and he’ll always be my puppy), so I’m going to share a couple photos of him. This little dog always makes me smile and his little face and expressions soothe me. He also keeps me company when I write.
Isn’t he a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e? He’s also very smart and contrary to what some people may believe about Poms, super sweet and affectionate.
I love my little fur baby but it’s time to move on.
Spring and Sing are this week’s prompt words chosen by Colleen Chesebro ~ The Fairy Whisperer.
*The catch is that we can only use the synonyms to these words in our poems.
Colleen hosts a challenge that anyone could participate in called, Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge every Tuesday, and you have until Sunday to create a post featuring your Haiku, Tanka, Haibun, Etheree or Cinquain poem. She is an author and poet, and also does book reviews and so much more on her blog. Be sure to check it out.
SPRINGTIME
–––––––––––––––––––––
I’m
brewing
the perfect
combination
of ingredients
for the best spring ever
so into the cauldron go . . .
one lovely maiden’s serenade,
a cup each of pink blossoms and buds,
a bunny’s first hop, a fairy’s giggle,
love,
more love,
and plenty
of sunny days,
a tablespoon of
a butterfly’s flutter,
the yellow of daffodils,
smiles of babies and their parents,
last but not least a quart of kindness,
and combine to make the best spring ever.
♥
Thanks for stopping by! Happy springtime!
