I’m in Barcelona at the moment and it’s pretty hot here too. Great and accurate haiku, Vashti. Enjoy the weekend!

A beautiful summer haiku Vashti, the wind is sure not blowing fire over here at the moment

Well, right about now, Denis, I believe that’s a good thing. Unless you’re at the beach, park or pool it’s too hot to be outside over here.

We have fire blowing wind here also in the summer. It’s like stepping into a furnace sometimes, very hot in the desert. There’s nothing like a cold shower! Especially after all the clothes I have to wear for work when it’s triple digits out.

Oh my gosh! I can just imagine the heat in the desert. Although, one year I went to Las Vegas in August and although the temperature was in the 3 digits it felt okay in the shade. I guess because it’s a dry heat. Here in south Florida we’re surrounded by water on three sides, so it’s very humid. We rarely reach 100º but the humid heat envelopes you and makes you feel like you’re wrapped in a wet, hot 100º blanket. It can be awful.

I know, Vashti. The dry heat does make a difference. I grew up on the south coast in TX so I know all about humidity. You can hop out of the shower and are sweating before you can get dried off. LOL

Loving the clouds and the excitement I see in the picture.

Hi! That’s a great observation. I too see excitement in the pictures. I love fluffy clouds too. They’re our friends here in south Florida. They diffuse the sun’s fiery rays. 😉

We have to ‘battle’ with the sun daily over here.

I’m off to Glasgow soon, not expecting it to be too hot but who knows Scottish weather can be unpredictable! Nice haiku Vashti. 🙂

Sounds like South Carolina summer. 🙂
Washington summer is proving to be quite different from any summer I’ve ever felt.
