Justin Bieber, just saying his name saddens me. His life is becoming more and more like a Greek Tragedy. He started off as such a talented, humble and sweet boy and now he’s doing drugs, drag racing and running from the police. I understand he’s only 19 years old, but fame has not had a good effect on him and I think if he doesn’t get an intervention soon his story will end tragically. I visited Steve Fox’s Blog: SfoxWriting and came across this poem. Wow! All I could think of was Justin Bieber.
Back To The Beginning
by Steven Fox
Back to the beginning
Where as long as you got by you were winning
Before the fame, fortune and attention
Where you could only dream of this rate of ascension
Staying humble, well you might have failed
Not quite sure of responsibilities your new role entailed
The world around you moving to fast
Before and after shots in your mind quite the contrast
Down to earth, feet firmly on the floor
Remember who you are, where you came from , don’t shut the door
Be the person you always wanted to be but with a conscience
Life is more important that the outcome of a conference
Lace up your shoes, fasten your belt
Make the people melt
But in a good way
With actions of kindness and wonderful things you say
Don’t hide your emotions life isn’t a poker game
Fold on your dead man’s hand otherwise you will end up the same
Take a second to appreciate it
Before it all gets too much and the world starts spinning
Go
Back to the beginning
I used to adore him. 😦

It’s really sad, but I guess we should remember that he’s only 19 years old. Hopefully he’ll learn from this experience and grow as a person.

I hope so too.

Hopefully he straightens up… I think coming into fame at an early age really does a number on some of these celebrities.
That poem is awesome.

I agree Savanna. I also believe that all the ridiculing by the media doesn’t help either. In my mind that is a form of bullying. The poem is great! 😀

Wow to that poem. It’s sad what’s happening to this young man, but it is a story that many of us are familiar with hearing because of what has happened to so many others before him. Hopefully he won’t be one of the ones whose stories end abruptly. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us at Countdown in Style too. 🙂

Hi Brittnei, you’re right I have seen this same situation too many times already. Hopefully, like you said, this one will end differently. Only time will tell. It was fun linking up with you guys. 🙂

Sadly, I think this is what comes from someone who makes a lot of money quickly, a male that’s just barely 18 and doesn’t have a strong foundation at home. Thanks for sharing and linking up with Countdown in Style! Don’t forget to come back on Friday to see if you were featured!

You hit the nail on the head April. I completely agree. I mean, check out his father trying to be some kind of MacDaddy hanging out with a nineteen year old. How could he learn with an example like that? Lets see what happens.

The first couple of times he got in trouble I was thinking, “OK now Justin, we know you’re young, but get it together” and thinking he would. After more problems, I started thinking, “Where is your mother who is supposed to be your manager?” And then I saw an interview with his mother and she was brushing it off. I was mortified! If someone doesn’t pull his coat and set him straight, he is going to seriously blow it. Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore, and Nicole Richie turned their PR nightmares around but it takes work. I hope he can do it. Thanks for choosing my post as your featured pick on This Momma’s Meandering Mondays!

Hi Kimberly! I agree, someone needs to take control of this situation and set him on the right path again. His mom seems too weak for the job and his dad wants to relive his teens by hanging out and partying with him. So who’s to say how this drama will end.
Oh, you’re very welcome. I enjoyed your post!
