Thank you, Yvette. You do the same. Last night, we had a terrible, window-rattling lighting storm. That was enough for me. I hope Dorian veers off back to the ocean, instead of making landfall anywhere in Florida. 😦 Wishing for the best.

It looks like your hopes are answered. I won’t feel safe until Dorian is far away from us, but right now, it doesn’t look like it’s going to make landfall. 🙂

You’re right, Yvette. We’re getting some winds but it’s actually pleasant and cooling. I’m hoping that Georgia and the Carolinas dodge the bullet also. 😀 xo

I like it, it’s almost mythic.

On follow up: I should have said the poem is mythic.

I’m happy you said that, Rob. The poem is based on a mythical character, Coralia from Son of the Serpent. 😀 xo

I realized it had to do with a myth after the second reading. I find it useful to go back to a post and read it again. I always miss something on the first read.

I’ve started making it a practice. It’s easy to succumb to feeling pressure to read as many blogs as possible which often results in a half read post with and an irrelevant comment.

Yes, you’re right. I’ve succumbed to that pressure many times. It’s so difficult to keep up with all the blog posts.

It is. It’s especially hard because I follow a lot of writers and it seems disrespectful not to give the writing the attention it deserves.

I understand completely. I follow a lot of writers and poets whose work I love and admire but there doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to read every blog post they publish. I try, though. 😉

There is some debate over whether one should leave likes without comments and I tend to think the best thing to do is to try to make a comment, the second best is leave a ‘like’ and make a note to go back to the post to re-read it.
