Hello, everyone! Welcome!
I’m in such a great mood today. It is a gorgeous spring day outside and it’s National Puppy Day! Although my Pomeranian, ‘Scribbles’ isn’t technically a puppy, he certainly looks like one (and he’ll always be my puppy), so I’m going to share a couple photos of him. This little dog always makes me smile and his little face and expressions soothe me. He also keeps me company when I write.
Isn’t he a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e? He’s also very smart and contrary to what some people may believe about Poms, super sweet and affectionate.
I love my little fur baby but it’s time to move on.
Spring and Sing are this week’s prompt words chosen by Colleen Chesebro ~ The Fairy Whisperer.
*The catch is that we can only use the synonyms to these words in our poems.
Colleen hosts a challenge that anyone could participate in called, Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge every Tuesday, and you have until Sunday to create a post featuring your Haiku, Tanka, Haibun, Etheree or Cinquain poem. She is an author and poet, and also does book reviews and so much more on her blog. Be sure to check it out.
SPRINGTIME
–––––––––––––––––––––
I’m
brewing
the perfect
combination
of ingredients
for the best spring ever
so into the cauldron go . . .
one lovely maiden’s serenade,
a cup each of pink blossoms and buds,
a bunny’s first hop, a fairy’s giggle,
love,
more love,
and plenty
of sunny days,
a tablespoon of
a butterfly’s flutter,
the yellow of daffodils,
smiles of babies and their parents,
last but not least a quart of kindness,
and combine to make the best spring ever.
♥
Thanks for stopping by! Happy springtime!
♥
I’d bathe in that cauldron! Love to the Lord and Lady of the Manor AND Master Scribbles (who inspires all of us with his sweet facey) ❤

And your little puppy who is not a puppy is adorable. I still think my cats are kittens and my grown daughters will always be my babies. 🙂
Happy Spring and Puppy Day!

Your adorable ‘Scribbles’ made me smile. I’ll make a note of the brew recipe and read it when our spring down under begins in September. This upbeat post began my Fall day with warmth.

A cute poem to go along with a very cute dog! I’m a Pom person myself (but mine does fit the Pom stereotype of being a little on the hateful side)!

Aww. Ha, ha! I previous dog was a Pom also. His name was Rascal and all my friends and their dogs were terrified of him. But he was all bark and no bite. He just wanted to be left alone in his old age. I was the only one allowed to carry him and hug him after a while. I’m glad you liked Scribbles and my poem. Thank you! 😀 xo

Oh Vashti, I bet I could have fun with your Pomeranian. I’m very envious of all that very wonderful fur. I’ve only got a short coat myself and I get a bit cold in winter. Me and My person love your ingredients for spring. What a clever double Etheree. There are lots of little lambs bounding about in the field next to my back garden, so I would put them in the cauldron too. I’m not allowed to go and play with them because I would chase them and the farmer wouldn’t be happy. Instead, I have to sit down and look at my person. Then I get some cheese as a reward 🙂

Hi, Ben! Scribbles is lucky to have that fur, because it’s good insulation, since it keeps him warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Little lambs are so adorable! We don’t have them here. Otherwise, I might have put some of their ‘bounding about’ in my cauldron. Enjoy that cheese and thanks for stopping by! 😀 xo
